"Tommy is the epitome of great music. He reminds me of working with Frank in some strange way." - QUINCY JONES
At just 21 years old, Tommy Ward is making his mark as a critically acclaimed entertainer with his own take on modern music that is rooted in his love and appreciation of great musicians.
Born in Houston TX, raised in Las Vegas & now in Atlanta GA, Tommy's earliest loves were computers, engineering, and photography. It was through his grandfather's influence that Tommy learned about music.
"Every day when I came home from school, we'd listen to his vinyl collection and talk about music, life, and the world. He loved the big band sounds of the 40's and 50's - Buddy Rich, Count Basie, Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, and Tony Bennett to name a few. This was the music I grew up listening to and what ultimately brought me into performing."
Tommy began performing professionally at age 16 and soon became a veteran entertainer performing nightly in clubs, casinos, restaurants, and galas in Las Vegas NV.
Tommy was involved in a 2 month run opening for Comedy legend Louie Anderson at The Plaza hotel, and he was the nightly opening act for 10 months with former Stratosphere Hotel Headliner (& La Vegas Headliner of the year) Frankie Moreno! Tommy has also been featured in shows with Vegas star Clint Holmes, Matt Goss, Jeff Civillico, Mac King, The Million Dollar Quartet, Jersey Boys, Phantom of the Opera, and Rock of Ages.
In the Spring of 2014, Tommy had the opportunity to play at the Power of Love gala for Keep Memory Alive. That night he performed in front of record producer and music legend Quincy Jones as well as legendary producer Frank Foster. A month later Quincy and the Quincy Jones Production team became Tommy's management team. He even had the amazing opportunity to open for the one and only Michael Buble where Tommy was dubbed "baby Buble".
"Ward is a telegenic crooner with an appeal that reminds of some of the more famous heartthrobs of the 1950's, but he's also serious about his music."
- John Katsilometes, Las Vegas Sun
"A classic powerful sound that comes along only now and again."
- Jessica Moore, NBC
